〈ちょっと ひとり言〉
1967年公開の映画「Two for the road」のメインテーマ曲。
映画全編を通して、何度も流れる美しいこの曲はHenry Manciniがかいたもの。
この曲を歌う迄、映画自体の存在を知らず、慌ててレンタルして観たものですが…
主演はオードリーヘップバーン。
彼女が30代半ばの作品で、同時期に公開された「暗くなるまで待って」とは全く違った雰囲気の彼女を観る事が出来ます。
20代の頃の、息をのむように美しい彼女とは、また少し違った意味で「魅力的」。
作品は一組のカップルの姿を出逢いから結婚生活の12年間にわたり追いかけた形の映画で、紆余曲折。
それでも二人の人生は続いていく「Two for the road」（邦題：いつもふたりで）
この曲は映画を集約しているかのよう。
「♪ふたりは未だ道の半ば、私たちの旅が、まだまだ先に見える。長い長い旅。私は、私たちの旅が未だ道の半ばだと知る～」と歌われる曲。
人生は長く、思うようにいかない事も多いけれど、きっと幸せもたくさん。
そして、人生は続いていくのですよね、きっと。
この曲を歌う時は、美しいヘップバーンの姿を思い出す。
そして、私自身の人生もまだまだ道の半ば、先に続く道を少し想像する。
