〈ちょっと ひとり言〉
2009年Barbra streisand のアルバム「Love is answer」の中に収録されているものを聴いたのが、私にとって初めての出会いですが・・・。
1992年Shirley Horn がこの曲を収録したアルバム「Here's to life」でグラミー賞を獲得しているとの事。
この曲について調べてみると、曲が作られてから世に出るまで（Shirly hornがレコーディングするまで）少し歳月がかかっています。
この曲は作曲者のArtie ButlerがFrank Sinatraにぜひ歌って欲しいとSinatraの手へ。
しかしSinatraはこの曲を録音することなく手放してしまい、ほかの人の手へ。
そしてまた、ほかの人の手へ。曲はこうして、世に出るまで時間がかかってしまったようです。
きっとこの曲「熟成」され、“その時”を待っていたのでしょうね。
この曲を初めて聴いた印象は「なんて大人の歌」
そう！人生の色んなことを経験し、人生を振り返り、人生の素晴らしさを語れるそれなりの年齢にならないと歌っちゃいけないんじゃないかしら…？と。
ある程度の年齢に達してはいるものの…
自分が歌うには“まだ早い”のではないかと思われた曲。
ですが、あまりに素敵すぎて「その時」を待てずに歌い始めてしまいました。
「♪人生に不平も後悔もないわ。満足している。
でも、今でもあの道の先に、丘の向こうに何があるのか？確かめたい。笑いを求め人生を求め愛を求め続けたい。人生とそのもたらす喜びに乾杯。人生と夢追い人とその夢に乾杯。」と歌われる曲。
Barbra StraisandもShirly Hornもこの歌を歌うにピッタリの成熟した女性。
彼女たちの様に、この曲が似合う「本当の大人」になるまで、この曲を歌い続けながら自分の中で熟成させていきます。
そして「人生に乾杯」と言えますように！
